Holiday Exit Signs
11/23/09
The holidays are approaching fast and shopping will be at it’s all time high during the holiday season. It’s important for building and maintenance crews to ensure that they have tested all exit signs and emergency lights in the building. With the increase in crowds it’s imperative that all exit signs and emergency lights are working properly in the case of an emergency. To test your emergency lights and exit signs it’s as simple as walking up to each sign and pushing the “push to test” button on the unit. If the emergency lights light up or if the exit sign stays lit then you know the battery backup inside of the sign is functioning properly. Some exit signs and emergency lights have an automatic test feature that allows you to simply look up at the sign to see if it is still functioning properly. This feature is available on select exit signs and emergency lights. Let’s all be safe and have a wonderful holiday season.
